It’s taken me a couple days to put this into words, as we are an emotional, sentimental duo.

My sister pulled me aside Christmas night to make me listen to this song.  She said, “you need to listen to the words, they remind me of us.”

To be close to a sibling is a love no one else can share.  Not a lover, friend, or parent.  It is it’s own, special, private, and unique.

They say nothing can break the tie that binds, and if you’re lucky, this is true.

To steal her own words describing me, “you are my anchor, my constant,” because well, the feeling is mutual.

I’ve said it before and I’d go down shouting it, thick as thieves you and me.

“…Always remember there was nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name”

(Also, again true to form, I’m late to the Avett Brothers party and they’re gonna have a hell of time trying to get me to go home!)
